Know Before You Go!

Weather

In late December, the daily highs in Atlanta range in the mid to high 50s, while evening temperatures drop slightly into the mid 40s.

A tour desk will be staffed during your stay to provide assistance during dedicated hours (see Daily Itinerary below). At your convenience, please proceed to the Tour Desk to receive your tour credential and souvenir.

Clothing

There is no specific dress code for any of the program inclusions other than your BUCKEYE gear!

Tour Credentials

To help our tour hosts identify you as part of the Reynolds Travel/Buckeye Boosters group, we ask that you wear your official event credential for the Georgia Aquarium event. Credentials will be distributed at hotel check-in.

Meals

Meals, unless otherwise specified, are not included in your package price. When planning meals, please allow enough time to be on time for scheduled events.​​

Game Tickets

If your Peach Bowl Travel Package included game tickets, you will receive game tickets digitally on your cellphone. Patrick Reynolds will be calling you during the latter part of this week to give you instructions on receiving your game tickets. 

 

If you do not have a cellphone that can receive digital tickets, Patrick will advise you regarding how your digital ticket

will work.

Check-in Time: 

We recommend that you check-in at the ticket counter two hours (2) prior to departure time to allow enough time to check-in to obtain boarding passes and go through TSA screening. If parking at the airport, add additional time.  

Check-in location: Delta Airlines 

Upon arrival, proceed to the Delta Airlines Ticket Counter for check-in. Reynolds Travel staff, Norm Pauley, will be available to assist, if needed. 

A government-issued photo ID (federal, state or local) is required at check-in to receive your receive your boarding pass, which along with your ID, is needed for passing through TSA screening. Children under 16 do not need to present an ID. 

 

Please verify that the name(s) listed on your confirmation matches the name(s) on your photo ID.

Baggage​

To ensure proper handling of your baggage, please follow the instructions below: 

 

  1. Make sure you have identification on your bags, complete with name, address, and cell phone number. 

  2. Each passenger is allowed one (1) carry-on item and one (1) small, personal item, such as purse, briefcase, or laptop computer that must fit in the overhead bin or beneath the seat. Delta Airlines requirements for carry-on bags are limited to dimensions of 9 x 14 x 22 inches. 

  3. Delta Airlines charges $30 for the first checked bag and $40 for the second. All bag fees are non-refundable and apply per person, at each check-in location, each way.  Standard checked bag allowance is a total of 62 inches (Length + Width + Height) and must weigh 50 lbs. or less. 

  4. All vital medications including insulin, pills, and other medicines must be in your carry-on or personal item.

Upon arriving at the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL), you will be met by Reynolds Travel staff in baggage claim who will assist you and guide you to your dedicated hotel transportation.

Hotel Arrival

Approximately 10:00 am

Upon hotel arrival, please proceed to the front desk where you will check-in and receive your room key.  Your room and tax have been pre-paid; however, you will be required to present a credit card for incidentals (ie. room service, parking, etc.). Once you have checked-in, stop by the Tour Desk at your convenience to pick up your tour credential and souvenir.

 

Since your arrival is prior to the hotel’s standard check-in time of 3:00 pm, your room may not be ready. In this case, your bags will be stored with the front desk until your room becomes available.

Georgia Aquarium Event

Celebrate Bowl Week at this unique football event in Atlanta! Georgia Aquarium is offering football fans the opportunity to be surrounded by millions of gallons of waters, thousands of aquatic animals, and fellow football enthusiasts at Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl Fan Night. Experience the newest attraction – SHARKS!  Predators of the Deep.

Fans are invited to explore all the Aquarium’s galleries, attend a mini-pep rally. There will be no lack of team spirit at the 7:00 pm pep rally that will feature each team’s cheerleaders and mascots!

Prepare to make decisions regarding the most important meal of the day. Do you build breakfast tacos topped with various condiments? Enjoy classic cage-free scrambled eggs, sausage, breakfast potatoes, and toast? Or go quick and healthy with fresh fruit, granola, and yogurt? So tough to choose when you can’t go wrong.

Tour Desk will be staffed in the lobby. 

The hotel is located within walking distance (0.7 mi) 

from Mercedes Benz Stadium. If you have difficulty walking please advise our staff at the Tour Desk.

Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl Parade

1:00 pm - 2:30 pm

Long regarded as the official kickoff for game day, the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl Parade presented by Lions Clubs International spreads football festivity throughout Downtown Atlanta. Beginning at the intersection of Peachtree Street & Xernona Clayton Way (aka Baker St.) along Centennial Olympic Park Dr. This free event concludes at FanFest in the Georgia World Congress Center. Come watch the pageantry of floats, classic cars, cheerleaders, mascots, award-winning marching bands and much, much more! 

The parade route is a few blocks (0.4 mi) from the hotel, so feel free to walk over and grab your spot to watch!

FanFest

3:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Georgia World Congress Center Hall C, located a few blocks from Mercedes Benz Stadium

Admission: $10      Purchase Tickets 

FanFest is a giant indoor fan experience featuring 200,000 sq. feet of interactive attractions like punting, passing and kicking games, obstacle courses and zip lining. It will also feature sponsor displays, sponsor sampling, merchandise and live entertainment from the main stage. The highlight of the event will be the Pep Rallies, which include the cheerleaders, bands and mascots from both participating schools.

Team Walks

5:30 pm - 6:00 pm

Location: Mercedes-Benz Stadium, The Home Depot Backyard

In the interest of enhancing existing security measures at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl and FanFest will strictly enforce a bag policy regulating the size and type of permissible bags.

ONLY THE FOLLOWING BAGS WILL BE PERMITTED:

  • Bags that are clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and do not exceed 12" x 6" x 12"

  • One-gallon clear plastic freezer bags (Ziploc bag or similar)

  • Small clutch bags, with or without a handle or strap, that do not exceed 4.5" x 6.5" (approximately the size of a hand)

 

An exception will be made for medically necessary items after proper inspection at a gate designated for this purpose.

Fans will continue to be able to carry items allowed into the stadium in a permissible clear bag, such as binoculars and cameras.
